Rented the Chesil for a week, fantastic van and service. Mark and co were responsive and easy going, made the whole experience super easy right from the initial enquiry. The van was fantastically appointed for a week in Scotland, with all the fittings to make the trip comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic! I hired the Fistral for a weekend of camping with my little boy. Mark was very helpful and the booking process was easy. Even better was the van – a lovely little machine with loads of home comforts. If you fancy a weekend away or a weeks camping, I can’t recommend them more.
Awesome van, high end conversion with great quality kit, great value as well. Had a great time away in the gower and forest of dean with my kids and would definately recommend and use again.
Thank you so much to Mark and Oxcampers for the fabulous conversion of my van. It is absolutely perfect and done to a brilliant standard. Mark’s advice was honest, impartial and really helpful and I can’t recommend his work any more highly. Thanks again – here’s to many awesome adventures in my new van!
We rented a Harlyn Campervan in April 2019 and had an excellent experience. The vehicle was in very good condition. We had not used a campervan before. Pick up and drop off was entirely straightforward. Oxcampers were very helpful before the hire, during the weekend and with the return. They are a super company and I strongly recommend them.
We had an amazing long weekend away in Harlyn. So pleased we hired the awning as it drizzled a bit, but also for the extra privacy and space. And it’s well worth adding the bike racks too! It’s fab to just drive off to new places knowing you can cook up a meal and chill out wherever. Our kids absolutely loved it. It was their ‘den on wheels’! We’ve made amazing memories and can’t wait to book with you again. Hoping to use a camper for a festival trip next!
Mark has done a fantastic conversion to my T6 VW, all my bespoke requirements were fulfilled. I couldn’t be happier, great service from start to finish.

Had an excellent very long weekend away in mid-Wales in Fistral last week (13-18th Sept). Good strong engine in the van, easy on the motorway, no problem through the lanes, made it up the steep hills easily. Inside is perfectly fitted out. All very well organised and my car was paked in a gated & fenced enclosure. Very happy, will return.
The Gooding’s Camper ‘A Year On’
It’s been a good year and we have definitely made good use of the van. We’ve been on several UK weekend and long weekend trips including a couple of early brave trips in March in the Cotswolds and to The Kielder forest. Both trips made good use of the Diesel combo hob/heater. Knowing we wouldn’t run out of gas was great but the same can’t be said for electric when we tested the limits for off grid camping when there was no sunshine to recharge the batteries (we have since invested in a new leisure battery with greater capacity).
Over the summer months the van offered a home from home for most of the summer. Cornbury Festival and The Big Feastival were made easy when making camp simply involved driving in, popping the roof and getting the beers out! Another festival in Metz in France for a week long hot air balloon festival started off the school holidays. A quick trip home to pick up the wife then saw us back on the shuttle for a road trip to the Italian lakes, Tuscan hills, French Riviera and Loire valley. The van is currently tucked up for winter but will be back on the road in the spring for another year of family adventures.
Both the van and the conversion have been brilliant. The base van itself has been excellent, only one minor issue with the clutch slave cylinder but Renault replaced that without even a suggestion that I put my hand in my pocket for it. Similarly the conversion has been fab. The only minor issue was a squeak with the SCA roof. Took a bit of time to locate the source but a bit of felt on the bed section soon sorted that out. There are a few things I would change on the conversion but then you built it to my specification so I can’t blame you for that. Perhaps I’ll make the changes on the next one!

The Littlewood’s T6 Camper
We considered getting a camper for some time and looked at hundreds of vans around the Country but couldn’t decide which way to go. We decided to try before you buy and hired from Mark for a couple of long weekends in the summer. Getting to know Mark and his ability to create want we wanted was the deciding factor and we set about locating a suitable van, which was the most difficult thing in the whole process. Once located and purchased it was plain sailing and we now have a van we are delighted with following the Ox Campers conversion.
Mark was a pleasure to deal with, no hard sell at anytime unlike some we spoke to, just good sound advice gained from his vast experience over the years not only converting them but using campervans as a family. His workmanship is second to none in this field and we are certainly looking forward to taking off in the van next year.
